1. North American F-86F Sabre Marker

Inscription. The first flight of a production F-86 Sabre occurred on 20 May 1948. The swept-wing, single-seat fighter aircraft achieved fame in the Korean War by registering a 14-to-1 kill ratio over enemy aircraft. Of the seven models produced, only the F-86F served at Luke AFB. The 4517th Combat Craw Training Squadron produced some 200 graduates from F-86 training designed for allied and Air National Guard pilots from July 1960 - September 1962.
