This property has changed over time. The area in which you are standing originally would have been a room in Celia Mann and Ben Delane's house. After 1872 until 1907, it would have been Agnes Jackson's front yard. After 1919, it was Charles and Amanda Simons' front porch. Bernice Conners, their adopted niece, would have grown up knowing it as a place where family and friends gathered where stories were told. Today, it is a place where we welcome you to discover more about this interesting family—and about how their history came to be.
