Inscription.
Today, the landscape surrounding the Seibels House represents the contributions of generations of gardeners, including contemporary horticulturist A. Jankins Farmer. Farmer's 2007 design incorporates both native and exotic plantings that recall the Colonial Revival mindest of the early 20th century, while examples of pass-along plantings and newly established pathways and hardscape mesh with their historic antecedents. In partnership with Columbia Green, Historic Columbia established the Seibels Garden as the initial step in realizing a master plan for the Robert Mills Garden District initiative that celebrates Columbia's horticultural heritage.
