Nature, S.C.'s biodiversity, and a sense of contemplation converge in Corner Oasis: Reflect and Renew. Commissioned in two phases by the Women's Art Initiative and completed in May 2024, this public art installation blends sculpture and painting seamlessly.

The sculpture Flower and Industry, created by Fitzhugh Karol of Brooklyn, N.Y., captures the inspirational qualities of playfulness and discovery. Its warm, brightly colored profile represents flower petals, while the steel construction pays homage to Rock Hill's industrial roots and its reinvention of the past through the adaptive reuse of buildings and materials.

The mural Reflect encourages mindfulness. Created by Michelle (Bunny) Gregory and MyLoan Dinh of the Charlotte, N.C. (The Mural Ninjas), it reflects their belief in the healing power of regularly sitting quietly. The nature-inspired designed features Carolina jasmine, magnolias, the Carolina wren, and butterflies.

The Women's Art Initiative selected the designs through a national juried process.
