Montrose in Glendale in Los Angeles County, California — The American West (Pacific Coastal)
Rocky Cola Café
2201 Honolulu Ave
| — | Historic Montrose - est. 1913 | — |
In 1923, Theodore Belanger built a pharmacy here. Over the years, Belanger and later owners changed the façade many times, but it remained a drug store until the 1980s, when it was converted to a '50s style diner, the Rocky Cola Café, which welcomed visitors to Montrose for 25 years. The most famous customer was probably President Bill Clinton, but the most loyal celebrity was Miley Cyrus who hung out here during her teen years. Rocky Cola closed in 2012.
Erected by Montrose Shopping Park Association, Historical Society of the Crescenta Valley, and Boy Scout Troop 317.
