Inscription. The Ingram family made their home at Grandview long before it became a park. The stone foundation is all that remains of the small house that Jim and Annie Ingram built in 1906. Jim worked nearby at the Royal coal mine, while Annie raised six children and tended a garden and small orchard behind the house. Although apple trees still grow in the old orchard, the last surviving child, Dorothy, died in the early 1990s.
