Cook Log House - Circa 1803
Jacob Stroup was the original owner of this log house at a time in history when the area was wilderness and formerly inhabited by Native Americans.
In the mid 1800's the title transferred to the Cook family. Educator Aurelia Ellen Cook 1908 - 1995 taught school and lived here her entire life.
The Cook Pioneer Log Home is dedicated to the memory of Aurelia Ellen Cook and her dear friends, philanthropists, Larry and Kathryn Marr who made it possible.
The Cook Pioneer Log structure has been preserved for and by the citizens of Goshen, Ohio to be used as an educational learning tool for students of the community.
