Inscription. This 42-foot-long covered bridge spans a small stream on Echo Dell Road in Beaver Creek State Park. In the 1870s, the bridge stood over the Middle Run River in Columbiana County. It was converted to a storage shed and moved twice by township trustees. As a result, its history was temporarily lost. Thomas J. Malone, a covered bridge researcher, rediscovered the structure along Pine Hollow Road and recognized it as a covered bridge. Local historians worked to move it to the park in the 1970s, where it remains.

Construction of most the country's covered bridges occurred between 1825 and 1875. More than 12,000 covered bridges once dotted the country's landscape, with about 3,500 of them in Ohio.
