,br> The Music Hall at Snug Harbor is the second oldest music hall in New York City, completed just six months after Carnegie Hall. Silent films were shown beginning in 1911, and sound-on-film equipment was installed in 1933, leading to twice weekly movie screenings that were very popular with the resident sailors.
