Regarding The Helms Estate. Helms Bakery famously supplied baked goods directly to residents of Southern California for half a century with over 1,000 delivery trucks, and provided bread for the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles.
The Helms Estate is a two-story Spanish Colonial Revival home designed by noted architect Gordon B. Kaufmann in 1928. It has 9,500 square feet with 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms on a one acre lot. The current owners, Dorothy and Phil Kamins, have meticulously developed the grounds into a stunning botanical landscape known as the Kamins Gardens.
