Masonic lodge "Zur Wahrheit und Freundschaft" (To Truth and Friendship).

In Fürth, he established the Nathan Foundation and donated a total of approximately two million marks before his death. In Bad Reichenhall, he gave, among other things, 30,000 marks for the construction of a poorhouse, 210,000 marks for a military convalescent home, and 10,000 marks for free accommodation for officers. He regularly donated 1,000 marks at Christmas for the distribution of gifts to poor children. Further donations went to the boys' school and for the construction of the wayside shrine chapel. In 1908, he had the Amalienruhe lookout tower built above Karlstein, and in 1910 he donated the Centaur Fountain at the train station square. A bust of Prince Regent Luitpold by Ferdinand von Miller, which he commissioned and which was located in the spa gardens, was removed in 1937 during the Nazi era.

Nathan was also a poet and published volumes of poetry.
