1. Manila Cathedral-Basilica Carillon Bells Marker
Inscription.
The Carillon Bells, located at the Belfry on the topmost portion of the Manila Cathedral-Basilica Bell Tower, are musically tuned bells that play the melodies of Church hymns and popular songs. They were casted by the Royal Bell Foundry Eijsbouts.

The first set with 9 bells only, was installed on December 18, 2010 while the completing set with 23 bells was on November 27, 2014 by Carillon Technology (S) PTE LTD. They replaced the Seven Big Bells which had been in use since the reconstruction of the Post-War Manila Cathedral in 1958. This was done as a safety measure to relieve the Bell Tower of more than 17 tons weight.

The Carillon Bells, a project of the Manila Metropolitan Cathedral-Basilica Foundation, Inc., were made possible through the generosity of Alberto and Sylvia Lina and their children.

The Carillon Bells were blessed and inaugurated
by His Eminence
Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle
Archbishop of Manila
