The general plan is to take the hotel back to the early 20th century, after it was moved, and rebuild the "Longest Porch in Texas."

As soon as it was purchased, teams of architects, landscapers, contractors, etc., inspected the premises.
A full-time grounds keeper was hired and has begun to transform the hotel's surroundings.
A request has been submitted to the Texas Historical Commission (THC), for state and federal historic tax credits. Working with the THC will ensure that the restoration is as authentic as possible, according to the standards of the Secretary of the Interior. Major work can't begin until the process is complete. Watch this space as progress moves forward!
