This site possesses national significance in commemorating the history of the United States of America

Designed by renowned architect Paul Cret in partnership with Albert Kelsey, the 1910 - 1912 Pan American Union Headquarters houses a diplomatic organization founded in 1890 to stabilize political and economic ties among the nations of the Americas. Through the synthesis of Beaux-Arts design and Mesoamerican motifs, the property reflects the mission of the Organization and its successor, the Organization of American States.
