Die Bauherren der stattlichen Mansarddach-Häuser aus dem Ende des 17. und dem 18. Jahrhundert waren jüdische Kaufleute, die wesentlich zum wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung dieser Zeit beitrugen. Die aufwändige Bauweise zeigt nicht nur ihren hohen sozialen Status sondern auch den Wandel des alten bäuerlichen Fürth zum barocken Handels- und Handwerkerort.

(The builders of the stately mansard-roofed houses from the late 17th and 18th centuries were Jewish merchants who contributed significantly to the economic boom of that era. The elaborate architecture reflects not only their high social status but also the transformation of the old agricultural town of Fürth into a baroque center of trade and craftsmanship.)
