1. Macedonia African Methodist Episcopal Church Marker

Inscription. The African Methodist Episcopal Congregation was originally formed in 1859 in Springville (Florin). A church was built there in 1860. In 1912 sparks from a train caused the church to burn to the ground, so the congregation purchased this property and built a new church in 1913. Services were discontinued in 1977 and the Mount Joy Area Historical Society purchased the property to create a museum.

Erected 2024 by Eagle Scout Project Tristan Bair Troop 349.
