[Panel from an earlier memorial]

"You have never lived 'til you've nearly died.
For those who have had to fight for it, life has
a flavor the protected will never know."

Vietnam Veteran
You served well
and were appreciated little
You died young
or never came back
The war ended
but conflict raged on
You were blamed
for doing your duty
Years have passed
The wounds are healing
Now at last
we proudly salute you
with our hearts
We thank you dearly
with our lips
We call you friend.

Dedicated May 31, 1993

Erected 1993.
