Inscription.
You shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32

In solemn remembrance that this land was given to St. Columba's Episcopal Church by an enslaver, that the wealth created by the enslaved persons who labored on this land helped to build this sanctuary, and that the church's leadership wrongfully appropriated monies owed to its Black mission church in Tenleytown to pay for this sanctuary.

Christ, have mercy.
