Regarding Theodor Seuss Geisel Memorial. Geisel Library is the iconic main library at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), known for its distinctive brutalist-futurist architecture, intended to look like hands holding up a stack of books. A unique, multi-tiered concrete structure designed by William Pereira, it's a landmark on the UCSD campus, and it has appeared in films like Inception. Built in 1970, it was renamed in 1995 to honor the Geisels, who were major supporters of literacy. The Geisel Memorial and plaque are located near the southwest corner of the library.
