In December 1915, the Elton Bible Conference was held at this location, which was a turning point in the Pentecostal movement's development. Key religious figures attended the conference, where the "Oneness" doctrine was introduced and embraced by many attendees. This event marked a significant shift in the practice of baptisms and played a crucial role in the formation of several modern religious organizations, such as the United Pentecostal Church International, that Baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.
