To Commemorate the
Battle of Caulk's Field
Bicentennial

Old enemies unite, remember the past and look to the future as allies. We honor and pay tribute to the heroic men of the Maryland Militia commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Philip Reed, and the British Royal Navy and Royal Marines commanded by Captain Sir Peter Parker, who engaged in combat on this land. Their patriotic sacrifice shows virtue can evolve from adversity and peace may be born from conflict.
