Inscription.
This marker, placed by the Brownsville Historical Association, honors the memory of Cecilio Lerma (1893-1964) and Dolores Garcia Lerma (1897-1990), who instilled in their children, Gloria, Aroldo and Florestela, the qualities of generosity, community spirit, awareness of the value of education, and an enduring love for their hometown, thereby making possible the acquisition of this property in 1989 by the City of Brownsville through the Stillman House Trust.
