38 Star Flag - 1877
Colorado entered the Union in 1876 and that brought the need for a 38-star flag, which was introduced in 1877. This flag incorporated the Betsy Ross circle of 13 stars within the concentric circle of stars, plus a star in each corner. This design became popular during the Civil War and remained so until the late 1800's.
