An dieser Stelle stand die im Jahre 1874 fertiggestellte und im maurischen Stil erbaute Nürnberger Hauptsynagoge. Noch vor der Kristallnacht wurde sie am 10.8.1938 von den NS-Machthabern zerstört und abgetragen.
At this site stood the Nuremberg main synagogue, completed in 1874 and built in the Moorish style. Even before Kristallnacht, it was destroyed and demolished on August 10, 1938, by the Nazi authorities.
