Adquirida por las Empresas Fournier siendo su presidente Don Virgilio Fournier fue restaurada en 1977 bajo la direccion del Instituto de cultura Puertorriqueña

(English Translation):
This house was the property and residence of Don José R. Fernández y Martínez, Marquis of La Esperanza, President of the Provincial Council of Puerto Rico and leader of the Conservative Party.

Acquired by the Fournier Companies, during the presidency of Don Virgilio Fournier, it was restored in 1977 under the direction of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture.
