Captain Cooper built a small barn on the northern corner of his property in 1860. It was used as the family's carriage house and stables. A shed addition was added in 1886. About 1902, Andrew Molera, the Captain's grandson, built the two-story south barn. The downstairs stalls held his prize race horses while upstairs were rooms for the jockeys.
