1. Naiad Queen Marker
Inscription. In September 1887, a fountain called the "Naiad Queen" was installed in Hotel del Coronado's garden court featuring a bronze statue of Venus Rising from the Sea" by French sculptor Charles Cordier. While the original fountain and statue were removed in 1912, a mold was made of a duplicate statue located in Port Townsend, Washington, and used to create this exact replica in 2024.
