Dickerson AME Church
Dickerson African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC), formerly Hall's Chapel, was established in 1845 on Ormand Street in in Brownsville. The church was rebuilt and relocated in 1881 on land donated by Thomas Mitchell at W. Mechanic and Pine Street, and named after the Right Reverend, William F. Dickerson, the 13th AMEC Bishop. This historican African American church continues to support Frostburg and neighboring communities, serving as a pillar of faith and resilience.
