Pitt Township near Little Sandusky in Wyandot County, Ohio — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
Bardon School
One quarter mile north of this spot stood a one-room schoolhouse known as Bardon School. In 1909, while the current Emanuel UCC Church was being built, the members held services in the school. On Sunday when the new cornerstone was to be laid, the congregation gathered at the school, then walked south to the new church as they sang "Onward Christian Soldiers." The engraved stone containing the official school name was a gift from the family of Karl Gerber, a former member.
