Inscription.
From 1938 to 1964, NBC Radio City, the company's huge West Coast headquarters, dominated the northeast corner of Sunset and Vine, a site previously used by Famous Players-Lasky Co. The complex, which filled two city blocks, housed eight studios, four of which had a seating capacity of 350 people. Many of NBC's radio shows broadcast nationally from this location, including The Jack Benny Show and The Bob Hope Show. The company's quiz and audience participation programs like Can You Top This? and Double or Nothing quickly became popular with tourists visiting Hollywood.
