Ringwood Methodist Church memorial windows
Alexander Edgar was a dynamic preacher and persuasive evangelist who headed the establishment of the first Central Methodist Mission. He and his wife Katherine came to Ringwood in 1911.
They endured the loss of their three sons to disease and lost their three daughters to tuberculosis. Sadly, Alexander also died in 1914.
The Edgar family were heavily involved in the Ringwood Methodist Church.
The two beautiful stained glass windows were donated by Katharine Edgar, one in memory of the 16 soldiers from the church who had enlisted, and the other for her own children.
They were unveiled on 15 June 1918, by the Hon. W. H. Edgar MLC, Alexander Edgar's brother.
