1. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church History.
Excerpt:  The earliest records we have for St. Andrew's indicate that the present congregation was organized in 1914 under the name of Christ Church. The plot of land whereon the church now resides was donated to the Diocese of Florida by William Leroy MacGowan, in 1924. Upon this parcel of land, the diocese formally changed the name of the mission from Christ Church to St. Andrew's.
