1. Captain Charles A. Harding Marker
Charles A. Harding was a fourth generation member of his family to live in Olmsted. Falls, a 1933 graduate of Olmsted Falls High School and an Eagle Scout. He participated in football and track and continued that interest at Baldwin-Wallace College Charles was a member of Olmsted Community Church and an active citizen in the community.
Charles was drafted into the United States Army on January 31, 1941 as a private in the Infantry. He rose to the rank of Captain in 1943. While serving his country in World War II, he died of wounds received in action during the battle of Normandy.
This bridge is a tribute to the memory of Charles A. Harding for his valor, dedication and courage.
