Normal Hall Clock Tower

Normal Hall Clock Tower. . , Dedicated this day on October 5, 1996, the Normal Hall Clock Tower is a monument to the original Normal Hall that stood on this same location. Constructed in 1861, Normal Hall provided many years of service to its students. Tragically, on May 13, 1969, the building affectionately called "Normal Hall" burned to the ground. Retrieved during the fire was the original 1861 keystone, which is located in the center of this monument. The top border of the pedestal housing this plaque contains brick from the original Normal Hall donated by several alumni from that era. Monetary donations to the Normal Hall Clock Tower Fund were many. The following donors provided leadership gifts of $1,000 or more to make this dedication to Normal Hall possible., Michael M.
