More about this memorial. The name George Baldwin McCoy was added in 2010 due to the efforts of Girl Scout Troup 816 and others who learned that he had died in the war in France. Supplemental markers naming green spaces honoring 5 of the 7 fallen soldiers are located around town: "DeCarlo Green" at the triangular intersection of Hamilton Road and Stanley Road; "Hoskier Green" on Irvington Avenue across the street from this flagpole; "Mahon Green" at the bocce ball courts at Mead Street and Meadowbrook Lane; "Miles Green" at the Police Department, 201 South Orange Avenue, was originally located at what is now the entrance to Seton Hall University; "Shepard Green" at Tichenor Avenue and Garfield Place.
