1. Lima's First Power Plant Marker

Inscription. Lima's first power plant was built right here in 1884. This made Lima the third city in Ohio to be electrified. Benjamin Faurot constructed it to illuminate the Faurot Block, which included the Faurot Opera House. At first, it only lit the Faurot Block and one street light in the Public Square, but soon after, all streets of Lima were illuminated.
