1. Macdonell House Marker
Inscription. Designed in 1893 by architect Frank M. Leech, the MacDonell house was home to Lima candy manufacturer Frank Banta and his wife, Mary. With its rich Shingle style, the MacDonell House bridges Lima's vibrant past with its present cultural identity. Because of careful preservation and restoration, the MacDonell House is a highlight of the Allen County museum. The Victorian mansion invites visitors to step back in time and experience Lima during the late 19th century.
