1. New Albany- Plain Local School Campus Marker
When some of the country's finest planners and architects came together to realize the New Albany community vision, education was a cornerstone. "learning community" campus was designed to promote the aspiration of lifelong learning at one central location.
The PK-12 public school campus sits on land largely donated by The New Albany Company and the Wexner Family. With architecture reminiscent of Thomas Jefferson's University of Virginia, this campus originated as a 13-building complex, including a high school funded by the New Albany Community Authority. The result is an inspiring environment for students, faculty, staff and residents.
The campus is also home to an 86-acre nature preserve and wetlands, which serve as an environmental science lab for students.
