1. General John (Mike) Murray Marker
Inscription. General Murray was commissioned as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army upon graduation from The Ohio State University in 1982. Throughout his career, General Murray served in leadership positions and commanded at every level from Company through 4 star Headquarters, with various staff assignments at the highest levels of the Army. In May of 2024, General Murray received an honorary Phd. From The Ohio State University in the stadium; the same place he lived as a cadet, in honor of his 39 1/2 years of service to our country.

Notably, General Murray led the U.S. Army's largest transformation since 1973, serving as the Commanding General of Army Futures Command from start-up with 20 people to a conglomerate-merger with over 26,000 personnel in less than 18-months. General Murray was responsible for developing and funding the strategies, organizational designs and material solutions that will guarantee the U.S. Army remains the most dominant ground combat force in the world, well into the future.
