1. 1801 Elm Marker

Inscription. Built in the 1850s, the Globe Building was home to many different types of businesses over the years including coffee houses, saloons, and hat-making businesses. During the turn of the century, the Globe Building housed three different furniture companies: the Scheve & Angert Company, Leugers Furniture, and the Globe Furniture Company. After a renovation by 3CDC, the Globe Building became home to Jean-Robert de Cavel's French Crust Cafe & Bistro in the first-floor commercial space.
