Inscription. Alvin "Bunny" Meisel has been a presence at Findlay Market for more than 60 years. In 1955 his parents, Harry and Rose Meisel, moved their Globe Furniture business from E. Pearl Street, where Riverfront Stadium was subsequently built, to what is now known as "the Globe Building." Bunny started working in the business as a teenager and took it over when Harry died in 1972.

Globe Furniture was very much a part of Findlay Market. Harry and Bunny both served on the Findlay Market Association, and, during the 1960's, Bunny served as Grand Marshall of the Findlay Market Parade. Bunny enjoyed working with neighborhood residents and merchants to improve the entire market and surrounding areas. His business could have been located anywhere, but he was passionate about Findlay Market. His love for the area was demonstrated when he doubled the size of his store and added a parking lot between the original building and Central Parkway in 1984. Bunny retired and sold the business in 2001. In his retirement, he has enjoyed visiting the restaurant now located on the first floor of the building, as well as shopping at Findlay Market.
