1. 130-134 West Elder Marker

Inscription. Built in the early 1870s, 130-134 W. Elder has been known as the Leader Furniture building for many years. Formerly, it was once three distinct buildings. Original commercial tenants included a shoe store, a clothing shop, and a bakery. Leader Furniture, founded by the Mallin family in 1885, opened its doors in 1963 and sold furniture at 130-134 W. Elder. One of the more longstanding businesses at Findlay Market, Leader Furniture closed its doors when Gary and Gerald Mallin announced their retirement in 2016. Beginning in 2023, the building underwent significant renovations to become a four-story coworking space.
