1. 112 West Elder Marker

Inscription. This building was formerly three separate buildings with two, sometimes three, storefronts in operation. The earliest business uses of the buildings included coffee houses and dry goods shops. The famous company, Alms & Doepke, has connections to this building as William Alms had a dry goods shop here in 1859-1861. The city purchased the buildings in 1996. In 2010, Pho Lang Thang moved into the building, and subsequently expanded out of the space in 2019. In the rear, Eckerlin Meats operates as a six-generation butchery that opened in 1852.
