1. 106 West Elder Marker

Inscription. Built around 1860, 106 W. Elder housed many different buildings - a grocery store, a bank, and a dry goods shop. In 1938, Elmer Heist purchased 106 W. Elder for Heist Fish & Poultry. Elmer, as a long term Findlay Market vendor, was on the Findlay Market Association. A few generations later, this family-run business closed, and the owners, Tim and Barb Heist, retired in 2024 after a successful career. However, the space didn't remain vacant for long. Another fishmonger inhabited the space a few months later in 2025.
