1. 119-121 West Elder Marker

Inscription. Built in 1862, 119-121 W. Elder was home to several longstanding businesses over the late 1800s and throughout the 20th century which included a bakery, a hardware store and a saloon. The building also housed residential tenants - overwhelmingly German-speaking immigrants around the turn of the 20th century. In the late 1970s, Xu Ho opened Saigon Market, a grocery shop for Asian foods and ingredients which still thrives under second and third-generation ownership.
