Robin Ventura’s blast over the right field wall with the bases loaded in the 15th inning in the rain at Shea Stadium beat the Braves 4–3, forcing Game 6 in Atlanta. The third baseman was mobbed by teammates before he reached second base, and his apparent grand slam was ruled a single.
Net proceeds of Citi Field Fanwalk bricks have been donated to the Mets Foundation, which supports area charities and causes.
