1. The Dickerson Family Garden Marker
Inscription. This garden is dedicated to the family of Leroy, Luke, and Jim Dickerson. Leroy was a long time caretaker of Avoca. The bricks comprising the curbing were made on site, circa 1880 and were made from the remains of the "second" Avoca after it burned in 1900. The garden was donated by Francis and Virginia Carter.

The curbing around the garden incorporates original 1880 brickwork recovered from the charred remains on the second Avoca, which burned in 1900.
