1. The Bell Marker
“Maria Theresa Philomena” received her name on July 3, 1869, and was placed in a temporary belfry, erected beside St. Alphonsus Church which at the time was a small wooden structure, built in 1857. With the laying of the cornerstone of the present St. Alphonsus Church in the spring of 1871, "Maria Theresa Philomena" was placed in her new home as the towers of St. Alphonsus reached to the skies. During the millennium restoration of St. Alphonsus Church, "Maria Theresa Philomena" was given a new resting place in memory of the many people she summoned to worship God. Maria Theresa Philomena is replaced by an electronic Carillon in the tower.
