The Tulip Fountain
Cast by Knute Evertz to celebrate the tulip bulb industry pioneered in Whatcom County in 1907. Five tulip fountains once stood in Bellingham, one at the corner of 11th and Harris. The Tulip Festival changed its name to Blossomtime after the Northeaster of 1935 froze the tulips and drove the industry to Skagit County.
