Gott and George Robbin's operating., 1867 , La Grange Masonic Lodge consisting of seventeen members occupies the third floor., 1877 , David L. Gott was killed accidentally and his sons Ford Bigelow and Clinton Laverdo continued operations of the store under the name of the Gott Bros., 1897 , The brick store was consumed by fire in the Great Fire of 1897., 1898 , The current brick building was reconstructed and the Gott Bros. continued operations., 1932 , Following Clinton L. Gott's death, his son Leslie Gott and son in law, Charles Adam's continued the general store. The Adam's bought out the interest of Leslie Gott and for many years the general store operated as The Adam's Store., 1963 , After the death of Charles Adam's the contents of the store was sold at auction. Prior to his death the store had been owned and operated by a member of the Gott family for over a 100 years., 1963 , The brick building was sold to Charles Mlozovsky who was the owner of the Grafton Lumber Co., Mid 1960's , Virgils Kitchens and Baths purchased the building and operated their business until 2017 when they retired., 2018-2025 , During this time the building has been sold and repurchased several times, showcasing its strong potential.
